HAVEN Trio (soprano Lindsay Kesselman, clarinetist Kimberly Cole Luevano, and pianist Midori Koga) presents the world premiere of Three Portraits, a dramatic setting of poems by Dana Gioia, the current Poet Laureate of California. Funded by an Ontario Arts Council Commissioning Grant, this work weaves together text settings and instrumental interludes into a narrative of nostalgia, emotional recollection, and a journey towards comfort.
