The incredible HAVEN Trio (soprano Lindsay Kesselman, clarinetist Kimberly Cole Luevano, and pianist Midori Koga) is coming to Toronto to present five concerts over five days. I’m thrilled that part of their program will be the world premiere of Three Portraits, my newest song cycle, which HAVEN commissioned with the assistance of the Ontario Arts Council.
The three public performances are:
|Event Page||Ticket Link|
|Saturday November 11, 2017 @ 7:30 PM — The Kitchen||$30/$25, limited seating|
|Tuesday November 14, 2017 @ 12:00 noon — COC Noon-Hour Series||(free)|
|Tuesday November 14, 2017 @ 7:00 PM — Campbell House Museum||$25, limited seating|
These three events will be quite different from each other, and will comprise slightly different programs. The first, an intimate house concert in one of Toronto’s greatest private venues, will include only a sneak peek of Three Portraits (along with a number of other wonderful works). The second event, to be held in the spectacular Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre at Toronto’s Four Seasons Centre, will include the official world premiere of the full song cycle. That same evening, the cycle (and the rest of the COC programme) will be repeated in the exquisite Campbell House Museum.
